Test in an inconspicuous area by applying the acid to the Yellow rust granite. If it immediately begins to fizz or bubble, you have an acid sensitive stone and you must remove the product immediately and flush with water. If the rust remover does not react with the stone, leave it sitting on the surface for 15 minutes, then wipe off, rinse and allow to dry. Observe if there is any noticeable change to the finish or color. If not, you may proceed to apply it directly to the rust stain. Follow the directions and dilution rate for your product and rinse.
Our new Yellow rust granite white ice was installed. There are some rust marks on the granite we haven't seen on any white ice granite before. The builder's vendor said that it is a normal characteristic of the white ice granite. We have been other houses that have white ice granite and go over white ice pictures online but didn't see any with those rust marks. It really looks like rust stains! Has anyone seen this in white ice? Maybe it's defected piece? Then it will be a fight with the builder.

In most cases, you will have a protective layer used to cover the Yellow rust granite, especially if it is used as a countertop. But, this is not necessarily the case when it comes to granite used in walkways and other more rough conditions.
